Gas fire suppression  systems are used to protect premises where it is important not only to overcome the fire, but also to ensure the safety of workers, to preserve material and information values.

Under normal conditions Novec 1230 is an odourless liquid with a vapour density around 12 times greater than air. It has negligible vapour pressure. It is super-pressurised with Nitrogen to 25/42 bar when applied.

According to DBN B.2.5-56-2014 as gaseous fire suppression  substances (GVR), allowed to be widely used, are used HFC 227ea, HFC-125, CO2, as well as Novec ™ 1230 (FK-5-1-12) - an innovative development of 3M in the field of safe and ecological firefighting.

Novec 1230 (FK-5-1-12) is a fluorinated ketone, an invention of 3M Corporation.

Under normal conditions, Novec ™ 1230 is a colorless dielectric liquid that is converted to a gaseous state when released through nozzles. Novec ™ 1230 fire extinguisher overcomes fire through a combination of physical and chemical properties.

The fire suppression   mechanism is based on the effect of cooling - the selection of thermal energy in the chain reaction of combustion, with a slight decrease in room temperature, which is - no more than 2-3 ° C). At the same time Novec ™ 1230 does not reduce the oxygen content in the room, and clinical trials have shown its safety for humans.

The gas fire suppression  system consists of one or more fire suppression  modules with a gas suppression  agent installed in such a way as to ensure the protection of the space by a pre-calculated amount of gas. The IHP gas fire suppression  module is connected to the main pipeline, depending on the system configuration, a network of distribution pipelines is built and the required number of nozzles, through which the fire suppression   substance is supplied to the room to be protected.
